Adult Summer Camp 2007

Dear student,

This year's summer camp will be held at Cherry Tree Farm campsite, Croyde, near Barnstaple, Devon. We occupy a separate field on a family campsite that overlooks the picturesque Croyde Bay.

The camp commences on TBC and finishes on TBC. Please note that students are required to attend for the full week.

This is primarily a training camp, with training twice a day (morning and evening) and additional optional training during the afternoons. You will be training under a number of P.U.M.A.'s highest grades and you will have the opportunity to learn a lot of new skills as well as improve your fitness. Please note that the morning sessions involve some running. If you do not normally run (or jog) it would be advisable to do some specific training prior to the camp. (You should be able to jog for about fifteen minutes quite comfortably.)

Although this is an adult training camp, non-training family members are welcome to attend. Training is for students aged 13 or over and a parent or legal guardian must accompany anyone who attends under the age of eighteen. Please note that these rules regarding age will be strictly adhered to.

If you wish to reserve a place on this year's camp, please fill in the form available from your instructor (or see below) and return it as soon as possible.  All cheques made payable to P.U.M.A.

Please note that numbers are limited and the closing date for applications is TBC.

I hope you enjoy the camp and look forward to meeting you. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.

If you have any questions regarding the camp, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Wood on 07814032609.

Junior Summer Camp 2007

Dear Parent/Guardian

The P.U.M.A. Childrens camp will be held this year on the weekend of the 31st August to 2nd September at Cleeve Hill Scout Camp, Bath.  The camp is open to children between 8 and 12 years inclusive.

The cost of the camp is £75 for first family members and £55 for second and subsequent family members.  The price includes all meals.

There are usually about 80 children on the camp and around 20 helpers.  Activities will include Taekwon-Do training, team building games and swimming.  There will also be lots of free time for them to play.  Children who attend the camp have a great time and meet lots of new friends.

Helpers are experienced (usually instructors) and training in the ethics of the P.U.M.A. child protection policy.  There is a trained nurse on site and the P.U.M.A. safety officer and child protection officer also attend the camp.

If you wish your child to attend this camp you will need to provide transport for them to and from the camp.  Instructors cannot provide transport.  It would be helpful if you would also arrange a tent for your child or ensure that they are sharing with a child who is bringing a tent.

Please fill in an application form available from your instructor (or see below) and return it to your Instructor, to reserve a place for your child.  All cheques made payable to P.U.M.A.

Please be aware that numbers are limited and applications must reach us by Wednesday 1st August 2007.

If you have any questions regarding the camp, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Wood on 07814032609.
